sample some Belt Creek Harmony:

The Stewart family has long been an icon
of fine bluegrass and gospel music across
southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana.
Travis Stewart, a former Bill Monroe
Bluegrass Boy, and his sons are well
known for wonderful multi-part vocal
harmony as well as some of the finest
instrument picking you'll hear anywhere.
With the formation of Belt Creek Harmony,
Travis maintains that high standard with
his wife Reneé and family friend Gayle
White.
Gayle and Reneé alternate on lead and
harmony vocals, while Travis provides
vocal harmony and impeccable rhythm
guitar. On Beyond The Sunset, they were
backed up by Floyd Jasper on the
resonator guitar and Pat Jasper on bass.
Their recently released How Can You Say
There Is No God features two original
songs written and arranged by Reneé - the
title song How Can You Say There Is No
God, and Perfect Peace with Reneé also
on the piano.
Belt Creek Harmony can often be heard at
Triple Creek RV Music Park near Woodville,
Texas, and at Walter B's monthly show in
Sour Lake, Texas. They also appear at
other venues and churches across the
South.
On a personal note, Belt Creek Harmony
invokes memories of border radio and my
mother's 78 rpm gospel record collection.
But that was over half a century ago.
Thanks, Travis, Reneé, and Gayle, for
bringing back those memories.
