sample some Brushy Branch:
Gregg Stewart (banjo) and Dennis Stewart
(mandolin) were destined to play
bluegrass.  They matured as musicians in
a family band headed by their father,
Travis, former member of Bill Monroe's
Bluegrass Boys and currently with
Belt
Creek Harmony.

Leonard Pitre (guitar)and Andy Langley
(bass) were boyhood pals who enjoyed
jamming around with the guitar and bass.
Their interest in playing instruments
heightened after hearing the music of Tony
Rice.

Fifteen years ago at a festival in Onalaska,
Texas, their two musical worlds meet.
Admiration for each other's talents and
compatible personalities forged a
friendship that has stood the test of time.
The group's most recent addition,
Jamey
Alwell
(lead vocals), makes the band
complete.  His powerhouse singing and
gregarious personality make him the
perfect match.

While the guys occasionally book a venue,
their passion has always and will always
be the jam. Their CD album serves as a
scrapbook for the five, a way to archive their
music and friendship.  It's a personal
treasure for the group as well as those of
us who have enjoyed them along the way.
