Notes:
The Herrin Family of Fort Worth formed their
bluegrass gospel band in 1996. Since then,
they have attained many accomplishments
in the gospel music field. They were
nominated for Fellowship of Christian Music
Band of the Year in 1998 and 2000, won
Fellowship of Christian Music Band of the
Year in 1999 and were nominated Band of
the Year in 2002.
Members of the singing and ministering
group currently include:
- Curry Herrin on rhythm guitar,
singing lead and harmony vocals.
Curry has been a licensed minister
since 1984, ministering in several
churches, missions, and nursing
homes and on the streets of Fort
Worth.
- Jeremy Herrin on lead guitar and
banjo. Jeremy also writes and
arranges music for the band.
- Chris Herrin on mandolin.
- John Gallant on stand-up bass.
- Darla Gallant, John's mother, is a
more recent addition to the group
and sings high tenor.
The Herrins' next release will be Mama's
Words, featuring traditional favorites with a
distinctive bluegrass flavor like "The
Lighthouse", "I'll Fly Away", "Over In The
Gloryland", and "John The Revelator" as
well as some more of their great original
