The Herzog Family is a band whose
roots and love for traditional and
gospel bluegrass music run very deep.
The band consists of:
René - lead vocals and coordinator,
Justin, 21 - banjo, Dobro, and baritone,
Forrest, 15 - guitar and high tenor,
Brittany, 15 - mandolin and vocals.
René has always enjoyed playing
music and singing on stage with
friends and family. It is natural to her
and has been a lifetime dream. René
started attending bluegrass festivals
and jam sessions with her parents
when she was just a toddler. She first
sang in public at the age of five in
church.
Parents René and Doug noticed more
musical talent through the third
generation of the family, when their
oldest son Justin started teaching
himself how to play many different
instruments at the age of 12. Justin
then passed the interest down to
younger twin siblings Brittany and
Forrest.
The Herzog Family Band first performed
in 2003 at a fund raiser and has since
played many venues. They are well
known for their crowd pleasing, rich,
and powerful harmonies.
The Herzog Family gives all their thanks
and glory to the Lord for giving each one
their talent, and also thank their close
friends and family for standing by their
side through each step of their journey.
They look forward to seeing and visiting
with each and everyone in their
audiences, and to sharing the Gospel
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
