The Keisler Brothers appreciate their loyal,
enthusiastic fans, who are thrilled to welcome
them back to the bluegrass stage. The
brother's love for bluegrass music, good
Christian roots, and rural upbringing gives their
music a natural flow and high energy that is
evident in every performance.
Redmond Keisler plays the resophonic guitar
and sings lead and baritone. He fell in love with
bluegrass music in 1975 and started playing
the Dobro in 1979. He was a member of the
Jenkins Ferry Band and Bluegrass Express. In
1983, the Keisler brothers were the nucleus of
Custer's Last Band, playing prominently at
bluegrass festivals all over Arkansas,
Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi,
and Texas throughout the eighties.
Randy Keisler plays bass and sings lead and
baritone. He owns Keisler & Co. Sound and
works several festivals and music events in
Arkansas, and is known for great sound and
mixing abilities. Randy is a certified EMT and
has over 7 years experience in law
enforcement. He is on the Board of Directors for
the Arkansas Bluegrass Association.
Rodney Heslep plays banjo and sings all parts.
He was well known as a member of the Grand
Prairie Boys, then joined Custer's Last Band in
1989. Rodney sells hospital supplies for a
large company and is considered to be one of
the best banjo pickers in Arkansas. He has
given banjo and guitar lessons for several
years.
Roy Hale plays guitar and sings tenor. He has
played in several bluegrass bands and is an
accomplished songwriter. Roy is the owner of
R&L Equipment, and co-owner in 21 Ponds
Hunting Adventures. Roy serves on the Board
of Directors for the Arkansas State Chapter of
the National Wild Turkey Federation, and is
active in his local church. Roy's family has
been long time friends of the Keisler family.
Jake Gaithright played mandolin with the band
on their Baptize Me John album, recorded live
at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan.
The album features three of their original songs.
Whether they're playing a contemporary ballad,
a traditional standard, multi-part gospel song or
hard-driving, up-tempo tune, The Keisler
Brothers Band always delivers something for
everyone!
