Chris Bagley, 2006 Texas State Flat Picking
Guitar Champion, has played with
numerous bluegrass bands in the Houston
area and served as vice president of the
Bay
Area Bluegrass Association. He was an
"unofficial" member of The Lonestar
Bluegrass Band for several years,
substituting on bass and guitar, and was the
natural choice to step into the position of
full-time guitarist and vocalist in 2004.  Chris
attended Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches
and graduate school at the University of
Houston and is currently employed by
Prosperity Bank as President of the Waugh
Drive Banking Center and Chief Credit

Carolina.  He has also fiddled with Pine
Island Station and Sugar Bayou, Houston
area bands. Paul has several recording
sessions to his credit, including sessions
for Flying Fish Records, Lonestar Records,
Don Sanders, and Leeway.  When he isn't
playing music, Paul is an acoustic engineer
in Houston, traveling all over the country for
his job. He also moonlights as a very sought
after sound engineer for many festivals and
events around Houston and south Texas.

Chris Hirsch is a Southwest National Banjo
Champion and three-time Texas State Banjo
Champion.  He was born in Houston and
attended college at St. Edwards University
and the University of Texas.  Chris and three
Houston bluegrass players, Paul Brummer,
Larry Brocket, and Don Eggers,  formed the
group Lonestar, which eventually evolved
into The Lonestar Bluegrass Band. Chris
also co-formed The Rocky River Boys and in
the mid-seventies toured with The Broken
String Band.  He also joined the Houston
group, The Harry Fish String Band.  Chris
was a member of veteran country performer,
Leon "Pappy" Self's band, The Blueridge
Playboys and has performed on stage with
numerous groups and musicians such as
Peter Rowan, Joe Stuart, Josh Graves &
Kenny Baker, Trout Fishing in America, The
Houston Symphony Orchestra, Rooster
Junction, and Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike.
Chris founded and runs the
Bluegrass
Sunday
show in Houston, featuring live
bluegrass bands on various Sundays. Chris
also hosts Houston's bluegrass radio
program,
The Bluegrass Zone, every Sunday
from 4 until 6pm on KPFT, 90.1 FM.  Chris
has been a member of The Lonestar
Bluegrass Band since 1982.

George Hanson, a native of Logansport,
Louisiana, grew up in Texas and played for
many years with Saltgrass, taking "Best
Band" honors at many festivals, opening
shows for Ricky Skaggs, Steve Warner, and
Billy Joe Royal, and performing on the Grand
Ol' Opry in 1981.  George took some time off
from music in the 1990s. He came out of his
temporary retirement to join The Lonestar
Bluegrass Band in December 2005.
