Four ladies who love bluegrass, country, and
gospel music have gotten together to offer their
style of music to the world. They came together
singing at Unity Baptist Church in Porter, Texas,
and formed the group Texas Harmony.
Bob Boren plays lead guitar. He and his wife
Vee attend Unity Baptist.
Sarah Brooks sings lead and harmony She
also sings with two southern gospel groups,
One Desire and In Unity. Sarah is originally
from Alabama.
Becky Goodwin plays rhythm guitar and sings
lead and harmony. She has lived in the
Houston area for over 40 years where she
taught school for 35 years. Becky also sang
with Southern Spice.
Jan Rice and her husband, Ken, are originally
from Mississippi and also attend Unity Baptist.
Jan sings lead and recently began playing
plays bass.
Dot Brooks sings lead and loves old country as
well as bluegrass and southern gospel. Dot is
a CPA .
Ken Rice He plays bass and, more recently,
mandolin. That's previous member Daniel
Wheeler playing mandolin on the Live At
League City recording.
Texas Harmony performs at various churches,
assisted living facilities, local festivals, parties,
etc.
